Hotel L’Archipel
On the east coast of Praslin, the recently renovated L’Archipel Hotel has a delightful setting amidst tropical vegetation which forms a natural amphitheatre overlooking the sparkling Cote d’Or bay. The lovely boutique L’Archipel Hotel is ideal for those seeking a quiet stay in a small, secluded resort.
Spacious cottage-style rooms are scattered around the hillside within Hotel L’Archipel’s colourful and lush tropical gardens reached by little pathways through the hibiscus and frangipani trees. Superior Rooms and some of the Deluxe Rooms are further up the hillside, while some Deluxe Rooms, the larger Senior Suites and Family Suites are situated closer to the beach.
All rooms have a verandah facing the sparkling Indian Ocean and beautiful Cote d’Or bay – the perfect place to relax. Chill out by the pool sipping a refreshing drink from the bar or revel in a leisurely buffet breakfast while taking in panoramic views over the bay. In-room massage treatments are also available on request. If you must be active, free water sports are on hand which include paddle boarding, canoeing and snorkelling. Deep-sea fishing, scuba diving and excursions can be arranged and paid for directly at the hotel.
The beachside restaurant La Gigolette serves breakfast, á la Carte lunch and seafood dinner, whilst the second restaurant Feuille D’Or specialises in Creole & International dishes. The main pool is close to the beach and beach bar and there’s also a billiard room and small boutique. The hotel is situated close to a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Vallee de Mai on Praslin island. Trips to the neighbouring island of La Digue can be arranged, making Hotel L’Archipel a perfect base from which to explore this part of the Seychelles archipelago.
Hotel L’Archipel is committed to its ‘green’ energy-saving policy. Initiatives include: installation of some 200 solar panels saving over 28,000 litres of fuel annually; new energy management systems in all hotel rooms saving around 30%; and new LED lighting in all rooms, reducing lighting consumption by some 80%.
L’Archipel is unable to accommodate children under 3 years of age and its hillside location make it unsuitable for the infirm or disabled. Shorts are not permitted in the bar and restaurant after 7pm.
